I've finally started hitting my 3 wood consistently off the tee.
My swing thought with both the 3 wood and hybrid recently is
coca cola tempo
which basically is coca on the takeaway and cola on the downswing.
I think often I get too quick and this leads to wayward contact.
If my grip is solid and tempo is good it usually leads to decent results.
The 3 wood at the end of the day has a much bigger club head and is easier to make contact with off the tee. I also get about 20-30 metres more on good swing compared to hybrid which really helps on the longer holes.
